The Harvest Lounge is returning to Upper River Hall on June 6th (long weekend) featuring the wonderfully melodic and cinematic tones of Holidays On Ice. This is the first official event in The ARTSLAB program, co-produced with Harvest Recordings.
Holidays On Ice is a collaboration between Angie Hart (Frente!) and Dean Manning (Leonardo’s Bride) who were drawn together by a mutual appreciation for all things slightly bent, left of field and understated.
Angie is best known as the voice of Frente! who achieved worldwide success with numerous records, including their version of Bizarre Love Triangle. Dean was the songwriter/guitarist for Leonardo’s Bride, whose two critically acclaimed albums included the APRA Song of the Year and one of APRA’s Top 30 Australian songs of all time: “Even When I’m Sleeping”.
They are playing The Harvest Lounge on Saturday 6th June as part of their Hat & Hall Tour that will see them performing with their band in regional community halls in country NSW and Victoria.
Last year Holidays On Ice released their third studio album titled The Luxury of Wasted Space receiving praise from local media such as the Sydney Morning Herald who stated, “dreamy atmosphere and spooky melodicism make compelling chemistry” and in The Age, “The album has a sense of togetherness and charm, touched by that little bit of genius”.
The Harvest Lounge will feature the new album short film by Holidays on Ice called “The Luxury of Wasted Video”; followed by a set by south coast singer/songwriter Joe Mungovan and finishing with a special performance by Holidays On Ice.
